Educational Program in New York

The program is a unique collaboration between the World Zionist Federation and the Fighting Online Antisemitism (FOA). The program aims to combat online antisemitism by training a critical mass of participants, reporting and commenting on antisemitic content across popular social media, and creating positive content.

Added Values and Impact

The program empowers individuals Jews in the United States and in New York to combat antisemitism. Combining theory and practice, The program encourages the following:

  • Educational activism
    identify and respond to online antisemitism according to the IHRA working definition.
  • Positive impact
    helping individuals to build resiliency and bonding Jewish diaspora.
  • Contribute to the local community
    removal of antisemitic content from social media benefits not only Jewish community users but the entire online community.

The participants will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to monitor and report antisemitism and anti-Israel hate on the most popular social media platforms.
The program is a hybrid program, and can be easily accessed by anyone with a computer/smart device and an internet connection. Participants shall become familiar with social network community standards, receive training on monitoring relevant content, correctly identifying antisemitic content according to the IHRA definition, reporting it to the social networks, and adequately categorizing the detected content as it is added to our database for future research and analysis.
