FOA Disrupts White Nationalist Cell Planning Mass Casualty Event in the U.S.; Intelligence Handover to FBI Detroit Marks Second Major Preventative Action of 2026.
TEL AVIV, Israel (January 28, 2026) – Fighting Online Antisemitism (FOA), the leading digital frontline against online antisemitism, announced today (Sunday) the disruption of a domestic terror conspiracy targeting the Jewish community in the United States, three months before the planned execution date.
The plot, orchestrated by a white nationalist accelerationist cell, was scheduled for April 1, 2026 – the first night of Passover.
The group’s communications on X (formerly Twitter) indicated an intent to “bring the Nova massacre home.” By adopting the name “Nova”—referencing the Re’im music festival massacre of October 7, 2023—and the imperative “NOW,” the cell signaled an explicit intent to replicate that violence on American soil. Their discussions focused on utilizing close-quarters weaponry to attack Jewish families gathering for the Jewish holiday Passover, specifically mirroring the brutal tactics used in the Nova festival attack rather than relying on firearms or explosives.
“We have been following this X account for a few months and recently we have noticed a shift from general slurs to operational specifics,” said Tomer Aldubi, Founder and Executive Director of FOA. “The group began discussing the acquisition of knives and celebrating the October 7th atrocities as a blueprint. They explicitly stated it was ‘time for violence’ because ‘Jews don’t learn.’ We realized they were counting down to April 1st.”
The information has been shared with X, as FOA has maintained a consistent and professional working relationship with the platform for many years. We have passed this data along specifically to ensure that the accounts of the group members are removed from the network.
This interdiction comes just a few weeks after the FBI Detroit Field Office disrupted a separate New Year’s Eve attack. Combined with the disruption of a “Pumpkin Day” plot in the same region in late 2025, these events highlight a critical surge in holiday-centric domestic terror threats in Michigan and the wider region.
The “Rabbit Hole” Discovery
Operating within a specialized FOA monitoring unit, the non-profit organization identified a “rabbit hole” of nested threads within an extremist ecosystem.
The team secured a comprehensive evidentiary file, including digital fingerprints of the ringleaders, operating under specific handles, and transmitted the intelligence directly to the FBI Detroit Field Office’s hate crimes division via a confidential channel.
The operation validates FOA’s “Flash-to-Bang” doctrine, which prioritizes disrupting radicalization early in the planning cycle.
“The distance between an online post and a terror attack is shrinking,” said Aldubi. ” This success was made possible by our trained volunteers, proving that individuals have the power to protect their communities and fight antisemitism. Join us and get training on how you too can stop the next attack.”
