In the face of rising digital antisemitism, silence is not an option. Every Jew has a role to play in fighting hate by proudly sharing their own story online.
October 7 was a day that shook the Jewish people and the world. It was not only an attack on Israel’s citizens but also an attack on our very identity as Jews everywhere. The images from that day burned themselves into our memory. Families broken apart, lives stolen in a single morning, and the deep feeling that the hatred we thought belonged to another century had once again stepped into our time.
Since then, we have seen a frightening rise in antisemitism across the globe. It has appeared in city streets, on university campuses, and perhaps most powerfully in the digital spaces where so many people, especially the young, now form their opinions about the world.
Social media has become the main stage where this hatred spreads. A person scrolling through TikTok or Instagram is quickly met with waves of videos repeating the same slogans. “Free Palestine” appears in bold letters again and again. Clips are edited without context, and narratives are crafted to erase Jewish history and Jewish pain.
For those who do not know better, for those who have never sat at a Shabbat table or walked the streets of Jerusalem, these videos can easily become the truth they believe. This is the challenge we face. And this is why our voices must not be absent.
Countering lies with our stories
The Jewish people has always understood the power of words. Our survival has been tied to the stories we tell and the traditions we pass on. Today, the stage is different. A single video can reach millions in minutes. A short reel recorded on a phone can influence hearts and minds across continents. When Jews create content that celebrates who we are, when we speak with clarity about Israel’s story and our people’s history, we are not only defending ourselves in the present. We are ensuring that the next generation will see their identity as something beautiful and strong.
I know how powerful this can be. Videos that proudly show Jewish life or explain Israel’s truth have spread far beyond the Jewish community. They have given confidence to young Jews who were afraid to speak out, and they have opened the eyes of non-Jews who had only heard one side of the story.
Each time we choose to speak up, we are not just reacting to hatred. We are actively shaping the conversation. We are showing that Judaism is alive, proud, and unafraid.
Strength is measured by conviction
Being a minority has always been part of our story. We are a small people in a vast world. Yet our strength has never depended on numbers. It has come from resilience, from unity, and from the refusal to let anyone else define who we are.
Antisemitism counts on making us feel small and isolated, but every time we raise our voices, we prove that we are not powerless. Strength is not measured by size. It is measured by conviction. And conviction is something the Jewish people have carried for thousands of years.
The responsibility to speak up
Influencers today have a special role to play. Their platforms are powerful. Millions follow them not just for entertainment, but because they trust their voices. With that reach comes responsibility. It is no longer enough to share only fashion, food, or travel when our people are under attack.
Silence from those who have influence is never neutral. It allows lies to spread unchecked. But when influencers stand up for the truth, they give courage to countless others. They remind the world that Israel is not just a headline but a homeland, and that Jews are not just a statistic but human beings with families, traditions, and dignity.
The impact of one video can be greater than we imagine. A post can travel across borders, enter the phones of people who may never have met a Jew, and plant a seed of understanding. It can reach a young Jew in Europe who is afraid to wear a kippah in public and give him the strength to hold his head higher. It can reach a Jewish girl who was told to hide her identity at school and remind her that her Judaism is something to celebrate, not something to conceal. This is the quiet power of speaking up. And the responsibility does not rest only on influencers. Every Jew has a role to play. Whether it is sharing an article, writing a post, or even telling a personal story, each act of courage adds to the larger chorus of voices. Together, these voices build a wall of strength that no wave of hate can easily break.
A legacy for the next generation
This is not simply about politics. It is about identity. It is about dignity. It is about the survival of a people who have carried their faith and culture through centuries of attempts to erase them.
Each act of pride, each word of truth, each video posted with courage, becomes part of a legacy. That legacy will not only protect us now, it will also shape the world that our children inherit.
Future generations will look back at this moment. They will ask whether we chose silence or courage. They will ask whether we allowed fear to decide for us or whether we stood tall in the face of hate. If we speak proudly now, they will thank us. They will know that their grandparents and great-grandparents chose to defend Jewish dignity. They will inherit not only safety but also pride. And they will carry that pride forward into their own lives, ensuring that the Jewish voice will never be silenced.
We may be a minority, but we are not powerless. Our strength lies in our unity and in our refusal to be erased.
If we continue to raise our voices, online and offline, then no amount of hatred will defeat us. We will remain proud, strong, and unshakable. And when our children look back, they will know that we chose courage, and they will walk forward with their Judaism shining brightly.
