For years, Fighting Online Antisemitism has identified X (formerly Twitter) as a major incubator of Jew-hatred. Now, a joint report from the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) provides independent, conclusive evidence, confirming the scale of our ongoing findings.
X is one of the most effective vehicles for spreading antisemitism today, and its model is profiting from the hate. The shocking data from their nearly year-long investigation (Feb 2024–Jan 2025) proves the severity of the crisis:
- Verified Scale of Hate: The report identified an astounding 679,584 antisemitic posts that garnered 193 million views—despite X’s stated commitment to reducing hateful content.
- Correction is a Myth: The highly touted Community Notes system is an utter failure. Only 4 out of 300 top antisemitic conspiracy posts received a visible fact-check, and that correction was seen by only 22% of viewers.
- Hate Pays: Ten core “antisemitism influencers”—most verified and monetized by X Premium—drive 32% of all likes on this content. The report estimates X is earning up to $141,239 annually from ads placed right next to their posts.
Why This Matters for All of Us
This report is a mandate for action. When we engage with antisemitic content—even to argue against it—we reward its authors and boost its reach. Every click is fuel for X’s profit machine and the hate accounts it monetizes.
Do not engage. Report it.
